ZapLinks Privacy Policy

Effective date: 15 July 2026 · Applies to the ZapLinks Android app (package com.zaplinks.app)

ZapLinks ("we", "us") is a restaurant ordering and food-social app operated from the Lao PDR. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Contact: info@utechnext.com.

1. Information we collect

Orders and payment status	When you order at a restaurant	To deliver your order to the kitchen, show your bill and order history, and award loyalty points. We never collect card numbers or bank credentials — QR payments happen entirely inside your own banking app.
Content you create	When you post, comment, review, chat in a table session, request a song, or add order notes	To provide those social and ordering features
Photos	Only when you choose to attach one (avatar or food post)	Stored with our media provider (Cloudinary) and shown where you posted them
Location (approximate or precise)	Only if you grant the location permission	To show nearby restaurants and, if you enable it, your presence on the food map. Map visibility defaults to friends-only and can be turned off in Privacy settings.
Push notification token	When you sign in on a device	To deliver order and social notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging
Diagnostics	When an error occurs	Error message (with personal data removed), device model, OS version, and app version — used only to fix bugs
AI assistant messages	When you use the in-app assistant	Your messages are sent through our server to an AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate a reply. Conversations are not stored on our servers.

2. What we do NOT collect

No advertising identifiers, no ads or tracking SDKs, no contacts, no SMS or call logs, no card or bank credentials, no background location.

3. Who can see your information

Other users: your name, photo, and the content you post, according to the audience you pick (Public / Friends / Only me). People at the same table see your name and order items in the shared session.
Restaurant owners: the orders, reviews, and song requests made at their restaurant.
Service providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudinary (photos), Google Firebase (push notifications), Google (sign-in), DeepSeek (AI replies via our server proxy). We do not sell or share your personal data with anyone for advertising or marketing.

4. Security

All traffic between the app and our services is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Database access is protected with per-user row-level security: other users can only read the limited public profile (name and photo), never your email or push token. Sign-in sessions are handled by Supabase's secure storage.

5. Your choices and rights

Delete your account: Profile → Delete Account inside the app, or email us at info@utechnext.com from your registered address. Account data (profile, posts, comments, likes, chat) is deleted; order records required for restaurant bookkeeping are anonymized rather than deleted.
Location: deny or revoke the permission at any time in Android settings; hide yourself from the food map in Privacy settings.
Notifications: revoke the notification permission at any time.
Content: you can delete your own posts and comments; you can report others' content in-app and we review and remove violating content.

6. Children

ZapLinks is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention

Account data is kept while your account exists. Diagnostics are kept only as long as needed for debugging. After account deletion, residual order records are anonymized (no name, email, or user id).

8. Changes

We will update this page and the effective date when the policy changes. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
